Actor son of murder-suicide victim issues stepdad funeral plea
An actor, whose mother was a victim of suicide in France, urged his friends not to attend the funeral of his stepfather.
Callum Kerr, a Hollyoaks and Netflix’s Virgin River, said that his mother Dawn Searle’s husband and her husband Andrew Searle would be “inappropriate”.
The couple’s bodies were discovered by a neighbor in their countries in the Aveyron region on February 6.
The prosecutor, responsible for the case, said that there was a murder to the BBC before and that there was suicide and there was no evidence that another person was involved.

It is not clear why Mr. Searle’s body was planned to be released by the French authorities or the funeral was planned to take place so long.
Mr. Kerr, a country singer in the United States, and his sister, said that they could not ignore the investigation into deaths.
The statement continued: “Therefore, we should only demand that our mother is not included in any way in the funeral arrangements for Andrew.”
They urged their mother’s friends not to attend the ceremony and asked people not to share their photos of Mr. and Mrs. Searle together.
“It would be inappropriate to associate his memory with a service that honored the man who could be responsible for his death based on all the existing evidence.
He continued: “We want understanding, privacy and respect while continuing to mourn our mother and seeking justice.”

Ms. Searle’s body, Les Pesquiès in the garden of the couple’s property, was found with severe wounds on her head.
Mr. Searle’s body was found in their homes about an hour north of Toulouse.
The police were warned by a neighbor who went to control them when they could not go to a scheduled dog walk.

The 56 -year -old lady Searle grew up in Eyemouth at the Scottish borders, and 62 -year -old Mr. Searle was originally from England.
They had previously lived in Musselburgh near Edinburgh and married in 2023 in France.
Prosecutors said they had lived in the Aveyron region for five years.
According to the LinkedIn page, Mr. Searle had previously worked in companies including Standard Life and Barclays Bank on preventing financial crimes.
