Actor son of murder-suicide victim issues stepdad funeral plea

An actor, whose mother was a victim of suicide in France, urged his friends not to attend the funeral of his stepfather.

Callum Kerr, a Hollyoaks and Netflix’s Virgin River, said that his mother Dawn Searle’s husband and her husband Andrew Searle would be “inappropriate”.

The couple’s bodies were discovered by a neighbor in their countries in the Aveyron region on February 6.

The prosecutor, responsible for the case, said that there was a murder to the BBC before and that there was suicide and there was no evidence that another person was involved.

“It would be inappropriate to associate his memory with a service that honored the man who could be responsible for his death based on all the existing evidence.

He continued: “We want understanding, privacy and respect while continuing to mourn our mother and seeking justice.”
