In a tragic incident, two children were killed and 17 injured in an attack on a Catholic church in Minneapolis on Wednesday morning (local time). Robin Westman was reported to have killed himself. According to Kash Patel of the Federal Investigation Bureau (FBI), the agency is now investigating the crime as a “act of internal terrorism” and “a hate crime targeting Catholics”.
The attack took place with a mass mark at the beginning of the academic year.

Mayor of Minneapolis Jacob Frey also expressed grief and called more powerful actions against weapon violence.
“All our children should be able to go to school, church or anywhere without fear of arms violence. Don’t just say that we need thoughts and prayers. These children were literally praying in a church. Don’t just think of them like someone else’s children. Think of them as yourself.”
