President Donald Trump railed against allegations of welfare fraud in Minnesota during his speech at a New Year’s Eve celebration at Mar-a-Lago on Wednesday. “Can you imagine if they stole $18 billion,” Trump said. “That’s what we’ve learned. It’s ridiculous. And California is worse, Illinois is worse, and unfortunately New York is even worse.” Trump continued: “We’re going to get to the bottom of all of this. This was a giant fraud.” Trump added that he saw Rep. Tom Emmer, R-Minn., on television earlier Wednesday talking about allegations of fraud involving the Somali community.
