Minor Girl Reported Missing in Bantwal Found Dead in Pond

Mangaluru: A minor girl who went missing from a Gurukul in Bantwal taluk was found dead in a pond in the school premises on Monday morning, police said.

According to police, the girl was studying Sanskrit at Gurukul in Bantwal taluk. He allegedly left a letter at school on February 22 and disappeared.

Following the complaint of his family, the police filed a missing person report and started a search operation. His body was found in the pond on the gurukul campus where he was studying on the morning of February 23. Police said an unnatural death report (UDR) has been registered in the case.
