Celebrity stylist who put Liz Hurley in THAT safety pin dress ‘was banned by Harvey Nichols from serving Premiership footballers’

The celebrity stylist who dressed Diana and Liz Hurley in her famous safety pin dress has claimed he was banned from serving Premier League footballers by Harvey Nichols.

Dean Aslett, 55, said his experience working as a stylist at a luxury department store worked against him, as he is now suing Harvey Nichols for age discrimination.

The celebrity stylist said his football star clients, including Arsenal’s Bukayo Saka and former Brentford player Ivan Toney, would routinely be handed over to young stylists.

Professional footballers and young, wealthy clients, who have apparently spent up to £35,000 during lavish spending sprees, will apparently be paired with Mr Aslett’s younger counterparts, despite his decades of experience.

“I have been working as a stylist for 35 years and thought I would have something to bring to the table, but my experience worked against me,” Mr Aslett said. Sun.

‘Management would give me all the difficult, much older clients no one wanted to serve, while all the lucrative appointments with wealthy young people were given away, so I was effectively being punished.’

‘Premier League footballers were coming and they were among the biggest spenders. They can drop between £10,000 and £35,000 at a time.

“I remember Saka spending over £10,000 on clothes for his Halloween party in October 2024,” he added.
