Missile Hits Helipad Inside US Embassy Compound in Baghdad

Baghdad: Two Iraqi security officials said a missile hit the helipad on the U.S. Embassy compound in Baghdad.
Images from the Associated Press showed a column of smoke rising above the embassy building on Saturday morning.
The sprawling embassy complex, one of the largest US diplomatic facilities in the world, has been repeatedly targeted by rockets and drones fired by Iran-allied militias.
No statement was made on the subject from the US Embassy in Baghdad. The embassy on Friday renewed its Level 4 security alert for Iraq, warning that Iran and Iran-linked militia groups have previously launched attacks against U.S. citizens, interests and infrastructure and “may continue to target them.”
