Missing child found drowned in neighbour’s pool in Adelaide suburbs

A young boy who went missing in Adelaide’s northwest has drowned in a neighboring property’s pool.
Emergency services were called to Mary St in Woodville West at around 11am on Monday after the child was reported missing.
Tragically, they were found in a neighbor’s pool by a police helicopter later the same day.
Medical teams performed heart massage at the scene, but the child could not be revived.

South Australian police said in a statement that a report had been prepared “for the coroner following an unsuspicious death in Woodville West”.
“The family has requested privacy,” police said.
Local Matthew Annetta lives near the property where the incident occurred.
He described the outcome as a “tragic story.”

“I don’t know the circumstances behind this, but it’s unfortunate,” Mr Annetta said.
“It is very sad, I feel sorry for the family of the young boy who passed away and the family of the house where he stayed.
“This is just a tragic and unfortunate situation.”
“It’s not happening in this area, it’s tragic,” another resident told Nine News.
