Suspect in Charlie Kirk shooting not cooperating with authorities, Utah governor says
Charlie Kirk’s allegedly claimed by Killer “does not cooperate” and did not admit to shoot, Utah’s governor Spencer Cox told the US media.
The 22 -year -old suspect Tyler Robinson was detained about 33 hours after the 31 -year -old right -wing activist Kirk was shot at Orem on Wednesday.
Speaking with ABC NewsRepublican Cox, Mr. Robinson said that people around him cooperate with the investigation.
Cox took part in various US news organizations on Sunday morning and reiterated concerns about social media after Kirk’s death.
The governor is also a New York Times Report Mr. Robinson claimed that he spoke to others after firing through the messaging platform, including allegations of being a joke about being armed.
Cox said to ABC News: “The only thing we can confirm these conversations are definitely and they didn’t believe it was actually.
“He was so joking until he actually confessed to it.”
Mr. Robinson was arrested on Thursday night after surrendering to the police.
When Kirk was shot and killed, he was talking at Utah Valley University at an outdoor event organized by Turning Point USA, which he founded.
The event was part of the American Return Tour, an engagement engagement that took him to several university campuses throughout the USA.
Cox told The Wall Street Journal that Mr. Robinson, a Utah native, was “deeply vaccinated by leftist ideology.”
He said that when CNN was questioned during the CNN Province Program on Sunday, the information was presented by the suspect’s friends and his family.
“There’s much more to learn and learn, and there’s so much,” he explained that when official charges were made, he said, “There is much more evidence and information”.
A declaration from the state of Utah confirmed that Mr. Robinson had been arrested for aggravated murder crimes, the crime of a firearm and the prevention of justice.
Currently, Utah is kept without bail in the district prison.
“We interview with all kinds of people – with everyone who knows him – and we’re trying to learn more about what really is.” He said.
Governor, the authorities with the cooperation of Mr. Robinson’un said he was a partner, he said.
He said that the partner has no information about the alleged shooting, that he was “incredibly cooperative” and that he has been working with researchers at the moment.
He also confirmed that the partner is currently switching, but when asked by CNN, he said that the authorities did not yet know whether it was related to the investigation.
