Missouri casino robbed at gunpoint Wednesday, suspects at large

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A Missouri State Highway Patrol trooper robbed a casino in Boonville, Missouri, at gunpoint Wednesday afternoon (MSHP) he says.
MSHP says just after 2 p.m., two suspects entered the Isle of Capri Casino. It was stated that one of the suspects had a rifle and the other had a gun.
The suspects are accused of stealing an unknown amount of money and left the scene in what the Highway Patrol described as a tan, older model Ford Taurus.

The vehicle was later found abandoned, and MSHP said the suspects were believed to have left in another vehicle.
The MSHP Division of Drug and Crime Control (DDCC) took over the investigation with assistance from the Boonville Police Department, Cooper County Sheriff’s Office and the FBI.
Anyone with information about the robbery is asked to call MSHP Troop F at (573) 751-1000. MSHP says information is subject to change because the investigation is still in its early stages.
This is an evolving story; FOX4 will provide updates as they become available.
