MLA Sudarshan Reddy Appointed as Advisor to Telangana Govt
Hyderabad: The state government has appointed MLA P Sudarshan Reddy as Adviser to Government (Implementation of All Flagship Welfare and Development Schemes) with the rank and status of Cabinet Minister.
He will review the implementation of all flagship welfare and development schemes along with District Collectors and Divisional Secretaries and other officers concerned.
The Government Counsel’s salary, benefits and support staff will be at a level acceptable to the Cabinet Minister. He will be provided with accommodation on a par with the Cabinet Minister, as well as the Minister’s quarters in the Secretariat. He will be a special guest at all cabinet meetings.
A special chief secretary, chief secretary and a secretary-rank officer will head the flagship welfare and development plans unit and provide secretarial assistance to the Adviser. According to Chief Secretary K Ramakrishna Rao, the unit will update the cabinet from time to time on the implementation of all major welfare and development schemes.
The government also appointed MLA K Prem Sagar Rao as Chairman of Telangana State Civil Supplies Corporation Limited with the status of Cabinet Minister. Consumer Affairs, Food and Civil Supplies Department will take necessary measures accordingly.
