In November 2024, Zielinski resigned from the force under investigation.

Hertfordshire Constabulary Vice President Genna Telfer said: ‘Zielinski, as a whole, disappointed the people of Hadtfordshire, former colleagues who act with police service and professionalism and honesty.

‘Criminal behavior damages the reputation of the police and represents a basic betrayal of the people and the values that the police service stops.’
