Moment skydiver’s parachute wraps around plane

The Australian Transport Safety Bureau has released footage of the moment a skydiver’s parachute became entangled in an aircraft wing in Far North Queensland on September 20, 2025.

In the video, it is seen that the handle of the parachutists’ reserve parachute got caught in the wing flap of the plane and accidentally opened, leaving the parachute hanging on the stabilizer.

The parachutist saved himself and survived the incident with minor injuries.
