Moment US military hits ‘drug-smuggling’ boat in chilling video | World | News

A video shows the chilling moment a boat suspected of drug smuggling was shot down by the US military. The US military confirmed Monday night that its forces attacked an alleged drug ship in the eastern Pacific Ocean.

A “narco-terrorist” was killed during the attack. U.S. Southern Command said in a post on the X social media page that it was acting on the orders of Secretary of War Pete Hegseth. They said their soldiers carried out a deadly attack on a ship “passing through known drug smuggling routes” that was “engaged in drug smuggling operations.”

Video footage released by the military shows the dramatic moment the boat came under fire.

The boat takes a direct hit and bursts into flames. A huge fire engulfed the damaged ship.

The US has launched more than two dozen attacks on alleged drug boats.

More than 100 people have died in the process in the Pacific and Caribbean since September, according to the Pentagon.

US President Donald Trump He did not specify what the “end game” in the region was when he told reporters on Monday.

However, he issued another chilling warning to Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro.

“He can do whatever he wants, that’s okay, he can do whatever he wants to do,” Trump said.
