Nathan Knox was a young man who paid a crippled Robodebt when a divided second decision prevented him from stepping in front of a train.

One of the hundreds of thousands of people influenced by the illegal Robodebt scheme hunted their prosperity buyers for the money they were not indebted.

Prime Minister Anthony agreed to pay 475 million dollars to the victims of the Albania government and made a record -breaking class action agreement.

The program operates between 2015-2019 and used automatically data from the tax office to submit debt notifications.

This resulted in about 800,000 fake debts against more than 500,000 buyers.

Mr. Knox was in the beginning of his 20s and was working when he bought a Robodebt worth $ 15,000 after a series of Jobeeker payment.

The debt declaration reversed its world as a young man who manages employment and pays invoices.

AAP had a moment in front of a train I could step in front of a train… You have that divided moment, and unfortunately, there are people who made this divided decision and they are no longer with us ”.

A Royal Commission on Robodebt found that there were at least three suicides, known as a result of the plan, but that he was sure of more tragedy.

The program forced many people to terrible financial conditions because they received loans and sold their cars or saved to pay debt.

Now in the middle of their 30s and raising a young family, Mr. Knox said that the size of the settlement is a great win.

“This will not return individuals and is really sad,” he said.

“He says the government is wrong and what he has done is unfair.”

Gordon Legal, the Royal Commission’s debt collection plan was neither fair nor legal ”after determining the appeal.

A partner Andrew Grech said the settlement provided some correction to the victims.

“Money can never fully compensate for what they have experienced, and we all understand it, but at least that makes them relax,” he said.

Grch said the Federal Court should approve the settlement that may last up to six months.

“We hope it will be completed as soon as possible,” he said.

The biggest solution in Australia’s legal background will mean that the policy disaster costs more than $ 2.4 billion of taxpayers.
