Monsoon moisture brings scattered rain chances over the next 24 hours
Salt Lake City (ABC4) – Happy Friday, Utah! The scattered clouds and showers for Friday afternoon will increase around the beehive state. The best shower activity concentration will be for areas east of I-15. Gusty “exit” winds and very dry air will lead to a high danger of fire for most of the North and West Utah.
High temperatures will warm up to the mid -90s for the Wasatch front and the heights will approach 100 for SW Utah. Friday will meet the best chance to see heavier rainfall pockets for areas south of I-70. We have marginal risk for isolated flash floods from our points of recreation of southern Utah.
Temperatures can begin to cool near the mid -90s along the northern Utah during the next weekend and close to 100 for SW Utah. The chance of isolated storm will reach our Saturday, but we must be mainly dry for the Sunday today.
Typical high pressure, heat dome Utah passes through the next week. This means too much sunlight for most of the week, and the temperatures are heating well above the average. The heights will be around 100 for the Wasatch façade and 105+ for SW Utah again.
