NTA Extends Deadline for Fee Refund Submission to June 22

The previous deadline was May 27 (23:50), which has been extended by almost a month, giving applicants more time to request a refund.

NTA added that candidates will need to log in using their credentials to access the refund link and submit their bank account details.

The agency also stated that candidates can upload the canceled check if they wish to ensure the accuracy of their bank account information.

In the statement, “Once the bank account information is submitted, it will be considered as final information and no changes will be allowed later. Candidates must carefully fill in the information specified in Annex-I.” It was said.

Meanwhile, the re-examination was announced after allegations of irregularities and a paper leak emerged in the earlier NEET-UG exam, sparking outrage among students and parents and prompting multiple investigations, including a CBI probe.

Political tensions have risen amid protests against NEET UG 2026, which was canceled on May 12 following allegations of coordinated paper leaks.

More than 22 lakh candidates appeared for the exam, which was held on May 3 in 551 cities in India and 14 cities abroad.

The Union Education Ministry has ordered strengthened security measures for the re-examination scheduled to be held on June 21.

Officials also stated that in order to prevent such irregularities, NEET-UG will be conducted in computer-based testing (CBT) mode from next year.
