Trump asked for Meghan Markle ‘gossip’ on state visit, insider claims | Royal | News

According to royal expert Tom Sykes, the US President wanted to know the latest gossip about them and even asked Queen Camilla to do so.
This week on The Royalist SubstackSykes claimed a source revealed Trump asked Queen Camilla: “So what are the rumors about Meghan? What’s going on there?”
Sykes later said the President would “love a private update” on the situation.
The royal family is not believed to have spoken to the President about Harry and Meghan; This is an issue they have avoided discussing publicly for the past few years.
This was the case with Queen Elizabeth II when they quit royal life five years ago. It may have been a disappointment for Trump, who has repeatedly shown his distaste for the couple, which he believes has left Elizabeth emotionally hurt.
In an interview with Nigel Farage Great Britain News in 2021Trump said: “I’m not a fan of her (Meghan). I wasn’t from day one. I think Harry was used terribly and I think he’ll regret it one day.”
“I think Harry has been exploited and used very badly. I think it’s ruined his relationship with his family and it’s hurting the Queen (Elizabeth). She (Meghan) is trying to do things that I think are very inappropriate.”
He also described Meghan as “terrible” earlier this year. In an interview with The New York Post.
