Physical assault leaves victim in coma, SF police searching for person of interest

SAN FRANCISCO – San Francisco Police Department He is seeking a person of interest in connection with a physical assault that left a man in a coma in September.
What do we know?
SFPD officers responded to an aggravated assault in the 4600 block of Mission Street in the city’s Excelsior neighborhood on Sept. 27 around 5:45 p.m., authorities said.
Police said they were told that after a verbal argument turned physical, the victim was taken to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries. Police said the victim was still in a coma. Police did not release any other information about the victim.

Investigators are seeking the public’s help in identifying the suspect.
Police released photos of the person of interest walking on the sidewalk. The man in the photo is wearing a navy blue tank top and a baseball cap of the same color. They wear brown boots and gray trousers.
