NIA arrests another key associate in Red Fort bomb blast case

The agency picked up Jasir Bilal Wani, also known as Danish, from Srinagar in Jammu and Kashmir. Wani, a resident of Qazigund in Anantnag district, was detained by an NIA team visiting the Valley in connection with the case.
According to the NIA, investigations so far indicate that Wani provided technical support to the terror module, including modifying drones and trying to develop rockets before the bombing. The agency alleged that it worked closely with prime accused Umar un Nabi as an “active co-conspirator” in planning the attack.
The NIA said it was pursuing various leads to unravel the larger conspiracy behind the blast. Multiple teams are searching across states to identify all individuals connected to the operation.
