MORNING GLORY: Churchill then and now
Some books are not only getting older, but instead they are more relevant to the present, and they are really more urgent.
Such a book is Gathing Storm, the first volume of Winston Churchill’s six -volume history of the Second World War.
In the foreword, Churchill begins by saying that he should see these volumes as a continuation of the story of the First World War in the world crisis, the eastern front and after. “

“Together,” he continues, “they will deal with the account of a thirty -year war.”
Churchill does not explain that the first thirty -year war in Central Europe lasted from 1618 to 1648 to 1648 and demanded up to 8 million life. Many classifies this conflict as a religious war, others one civil war, and most of them classify it as nothing, because they have no knowledge. However, he destroyed Europe very well for beggars until the Titanic struggles of the 20th century.
A man had a command of command of both conflicts from 1914 to 1945 – Churchill. Apart from the short periods of both wars, it was part of the highest councils of Great Britain. The greatest man of the century was 65 when he seized a disaster he warned for ten years. When the voters fired him, he was 70 years old and took 76 parties back to victory and became prime minister again and served in the office until he was 80 years old.
Churchill wrote 43 books covering 72 volumes, and under the risk of upsetting Churchill academics, I think the collection storm is the most important of many of his great works for at least 2025 readers.
A hundred years ago – in 1925, Churchill wrote an article in which he refers to the 3rd episode of the collection storm, “a column that may not be able to make a larger bomb than an orange, will not be found to have a secret power to destroy an entire building block?
He warned this in the same column “[a]In all forms for poison gas and chemical war, only the first part is written in a terrible book. ”
In the war, the great leader of the countries was also a prophet of the terrible future of war, and in 1953 he received the Nobel Prize for Literature.

Now President Trump is trying to rebuild both broker peace and our hollow army in Central Europe. Incredibly, most of the old media seems to have hoped that he failed in the old effort to be guaranteed even against the liberties affected by TDS as a peaceful.
If you have doubts about the urgent need for GOP to remain under the control of the Congress for the predictable future, read the gathering storm and Dr. Make up for Arnn’s comments. The world is not less dangerous, just more. A third World War would be the first and second in these two wars for thirty years: demolition and death on a exponential scale without Marshall plan after the war to be rebuilt. Every country would shake. Ukraine’s battlefields tell us that.
If you cannot pass the president, you should be the first in the used book store in Amazon to get the volume. He can clean your head. It’s not a time for ridiculous policies and stupid alarms about “fascism” at home. Even if we are “red” or “blue”, there is enough totalitarian abroad who wishes to all of us. Americans should worry about the new “collection storm” and act together to prevent it, not repeat the mistakes of the “peace” between the world wars of the 20th century, and act together to prevent it.
