Mosman Park tragedy: Police continue to investigate double-murder suicide at Mott Close

Coroners and homicide detectives are continuing their investigation into a double murder suicide in Mosman Park that shocked Perth.
Police cars and forensic trucks lined the quiet cul-de-sac on Sunday as officers drove to and from the Clune family home, hauling evidence bags and equipment along the street.
A single bright bouquet of flowers stood at the base of a tree holding up police tape in Mott Close on Sunday; a splash of color on a street now marked by grief.
Despite the weekend heat, one couple stood silently, bowed their heads, and then abandoned the floral tribute and walked away together.
The investigation continues after the bodies of parents Jarrod and Maiwenna, aged 50 and 49, and their two sons, Leon, 16, and Otis, 14, were found on Friday morning.
The family was found after a caregiver who came for a planned visit came across a note and notified the police.
Major Crime Squad Acting Inspector Jessica Securo said the scene where family members were found in different parts of the house was “extremely distressing”.
The West Australian understands a detailed note was left inside the house and on the door warning people not to enter and to call the police.

Both young boys are believed to be autistic, according to Insp. Securo lived with “significant health problems.” The causes of their deaths have not yet been disclosed.
A couple living in McCabe Street, on the corner of Mott Close, were the only people allowed into the quiet cul-de-sac; He was seen speaking to officers at the scene and refusing to speak to the media before rushing back home.
A longtime resident of the area, who asked not to be named, said the tragedy had shaken the close-knit suburb.
“This is just devastating; the whole community is in shock,” he said. “I think more needs to be done to help those who are closer to this.”
Police are expected to remain at the scene for several more days to piece together the events that led to the tragedy.
