Mother jailed after drowning two-year-old daughter in pond near family home

A teaching assistant was imprisoned for his two -year -old daughter, who was drowned in a village pond.
42 -year -old Alice Mackey was found guilty of killing man on September 10, 2023, only 300 meters away from the family house because her daughter Annabel reduced her responsibility.
Young people were taken to hospital in a serious situation after the incident in Hampshire, payon, and burders, but died in the afternoon when the life support machine was closed.
The man Vaitilingam KC said: “The defendant took Annabel from his homes to a nearby pond and kept him under water until he stopped fighting, and Annabel died as a result.”
He added that Mackey was later looking for 999 and “lying” to civil servants and doctors, and that someone should have taken Annabel from their homes before saying that someone found him in the pond.
Mackey was sentenced to four years in prison.
Mak To condemn Mackey at Winchester Crown Court, Hakim Mr Justice Saini said, “The best way to protect him from a bad mother was killing him and that you believe that he did not actually develop under your care and that he was actually suffering under your care.
He said: “In your Dueld situation, you thought this was some kind of mercy for Annabel.”
The defendant made an objection that was not guilty of a murder that the court had heard that he was acceptable for prosecution.
The reports of the two psychiatrist showed that at the time of the incident, he suffered from a situation, which means that he means olmayan that he could not make a rational judgment so significantly.
The court heard that Mackey had experienced depression and anxiety after birth after Annabel’s birth, and that anti-depressant and anti-psychotic drugs were prescribed.
Mr Vaitilingam said: “He had a delusional belief that he was standard and his daughter was much better without him.”
He added that in May 2022, Mackey was divided into a mental health hospital for a month before being discharged for community care.
Mr Vaitilingam said Mackey stopped taking anti-depressant medicine in January 2023 and worsening the weeks before the mental incident.
However, he said he did not tell anyone and even participated in social events such as going to Goodwood races the day before he strangled Annabel.
Annabel’s father, who read the expression of sacrifice to the court, worked in IT sales of Annabel, said, “The loss had a destructive effect everywhere in my life.
Orum I have been a deep traumatized from the idea of how my daughter was killed, and I am torture how scared, painful and pain it folded.
“I feel guilty because I’m not at home to protect him on the day he died.”
Mr. Mackey added: “Annabel was my little friend, we had a very special connection, he was only two and a half years old, but he was very much empathy, very kind, happy and positive, Annabel filled my life with love and joy.”
Mr Vaitilingam said to the court: “Killing was foreseen that Mrs Mackey took Annabel to the pond to kill him.
“He lied over and over again and tried to cover up what he did, clearly noticed that what he did was wrong, and tried to get out of responsibility.
“Killing, of course, as a case of a parent with a small child, Peter Mackey was alone for that day, abuse of trust and Annabel.”
Defense of Patrick Gibbs Kc said: ilk The first and most important thing to say is, how sad I am sorry for what Miss Mackey does.
“Sadly for taking Annabel’s life, he wants to all the pain he causes to everyone who knows and loves Annabel, regret every moment of what happened and wants Annabel is still alive.”
Wearing glasses and white blouses and a dark blue jacket working at a school of four and five years old, Annabel also attended a nursery, looked down when he was convicted.
Mr. Gibbs said Mackey, who had previously a senior teaching role in London, had a large number of low and ectopic pregnancy in a five -year period before getting pregnant with Annabel.
