Motorway shut by police amid major delays near UK airport | UK | News

The closure of a section of a busy motorway near a major UK airport has caused “significant delays” this morning.

The M11 near Stansted Airport was temporarily closed in the early hours of Thursday 26 February. mirror reports.

“This is causing significant delays on the southbound carriageway to junction 13,” Cambridgeshire Constabulary said in a post on X.

Police confirmed lane 2 will remain closed until further notice. This is likely to affect journeys on the M11 this morning.
