Sean Green took his bike to every Munro summit in Scotland

A mountain cyclist completed an epic challenge to ride his bike in 282 munros of Scotland.

36 -year -old Sean Green from Angus believes that only 3,000FT (914m) and all -measured mountains in history are the second person to get bicycles on the summit.

The task, which resulted in Glencoe on Saturday, took the semi -professional cyclist for about eight and a half years.

Like all Munro Baggers, Sean climbed to the summit with the weight of a bike on his back.

During the descent, the pier went down the narrow roads.

He said BBC Radio Scotland’s Drivetime The struggle combined the love of the program on the outdoor and mountain bikes.

Sean said: “I’ve always grew up in and around the mountains, and I had a good trace in front of me and I just wish me to buy my bike.

“I finally decided to start taking my bike.”

Sean carried his bike to the summit but he was able to set off

Sean said he liked to put herself in the “bitter cave” and focused on putting only one foot in front of the other.

The duo said that the most difficult part of his duty was the logistics and fee he received for family life.

“I could have been up and down every four hours, but even then, a three -hour drive and three hours later a driving distance.

“So the shortest days were still 12.14 or 16 hours.”

Sean was supported by Paul Tattersall, who completed the challenge within 81 days, during one of the climbing.

He said he had a few more adventures on his radar, but was warned by his wife not to get anything extreme.

Sean said that the challenging struggle was damaging family life

Phenomenon, known as the Munro bag, was inspired by Sir Hugh Munro.

Munro, whose family was Scottish landowners, was born in 1856 in London and grew up in Lintertis near Kirriemuir in Angus.

While studying in Germany, he climbed the Alps and continued his interest in climbing when he settled in the family property in Scotland.

Sir Hugh was the founder and president of the Scottish Mountaineering Club, which determined the task of listing the country’s 3,000FT (914m) or more.

It is estimated that approximately 8,000 people officially scaled 282 summits – but it is thought that only two men have completed on two wheels.
