In recent years, Gill has been linked to many names, especially Sara Tendulkar, daughter of cricket icon Sachin Tendulkar. However, the cricketer never confirmed any of these speculations. In a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter India, Gill finally addressed the ongoing rumors about her personal life.
“There is so much speculation and rumors linking me to different people. Sometimes it gets so ridiculous that I may have never seen or met that person in my life. Wherever else I was, I was hearing rumors that I was with this person,” Gill said..
Gill, meanwhile, put up a remarkable performance in the Test, scoring a remarkable century. This marked his 10th hundred in Test cricket. Gill’s performance has improved since taking on the role of India’s captain. He amassed over 700 runs in England and carried that form into the West Indies Test series. His impressive innings took him past Rishabh Pant to become the top scorer in the World Test Championship (WTC). Gill also holds the record for most hundreds in the WTC with 10, surpassing Rohit Sharma’s previous record of nine.
India declared their innings at an impressive 518/5. The foundation of this significant total was laid by the captain. Subman Gill (129*), who settled the second over of the innings, is celebrating his 10th Test century for India and his first experience as Test captain on home soil. Gill also formed a crucial 102-run partnership with Dhruv Jurel before Jurel was dismissed for a commendable 44.
