Resident doctors vote to strike in England

In the last part of a long -standing payment dispute, the resident doctors in the UK voted once again in favor of the strike action.
Previously known as young doctors, doctors have been given a 5.4% increase for this financial year after an increase of 22% in the last two years.
However, the British Association says that fees are still 20% lower than 2008 and demand “wage restoration”.
The union said he would have new talks with the government before he announced his strike days.
The ministers said that their doors were open for negotiations on working conditions, but they did not pay.
BMA said that 90% of the members voted in favor of industrial action in the ballot with 55%.
Ross Nieuwoudt and Melissa Ryan, co -chairmen of the Young Doctors Committee, said it was still time to prevent strike action.
“Our wage may have fallen, but our will to fight continues to be strong.” They said.
“All we need is a reliable payment proposal and no one needs a strike.”
The union now has a task for possible industrial action for six months until January 2026.
