Nancy Guthrie Sheriff’s Ex-Boss Details Exactly What He Thinks Happened to Her

We talk to NewsNation’s Brian Entin about his latest issue Brian Entin Investigates, Kastigar said he thinks more than one person was involved in Nancy’s kidnapping, and that she was most likely taken to Mexico to get her the medications she needed to survive.

Kastigar said it would be in the kidnappers’ best interest to keep Nancy alive so they could negotiate with the family, possibly for money. So he thinks it’s reasonable to assume they’ll take Nancy to Mexico to address any potential medical issues.

The former police chief asked Entin, “What would stop someone who was planning this (at the level I was planning) from going to Mexico and sheltering him somewhere in Mexico where he could theoretically take care of his medical issues?” he said.

However, Kasitgar added that he believed Nancy “died somehow, but this plan may have been tried.”

“And I believe that wastes their opportunity to get what they want from the family. A lot of us think it’s money, and that may very well be it,” he continued.

Kasitgar also noted requests from Savannah and the Guthrie family, who stated that they wanted Nancy brought home, but did not specify “alive.”

“My theory is that he’s dead,” he said. “My theory is that they – being the perpetrators – had nothing to bargain with. And I don’t know what they might have done to him.”

Previous reports had stated that Nancy’s pacemaker stopped syncing with her Apple Watch on February 1. Nanos also revealed that Nancy has limited mobility and requires daily medication for high blood pressure and heart problems.
