Nobel Prize In Medicine Goes To 3 Scientists For Work On Peripheral Immune Tolerance

Stockholm (AP) – Mary E. Brunkow, Fred Ramsdell and Shimon Sakaguchi won the Nobel Medical Award on Monday for their discoveries on environmental immunity tolerance.

Peripheral immunity tolerance is a way to prevent the body from breaking the immune system and attacking your own tissues instead of foreign invaders.
