Nationals MP expected to announce move to One Nation
Barnaby Joyce is expected to officially resign from Nationals and announce his move to One Nation in a 90-second statement to the House of Representatives at around 1.30pm.
Joyce told this imprint yesterday that he would have “more to say” on Thursday.

On Thursday morning, two of Joyce’s political allies, speaking anonymously on this byline, confirmed that Joyce would make his announcement later today.
This imprint revealed that Joyce met with One Nation early last month.
National party allies McCormack and Joyce’s friend and former staffer Canavan are also urging the party’s former leader to stay in the tent.
But Joyce’s steak dinner with Hanson on Monday night was seen as near-confirmation that he was quitting, prompting Canavan to campaign against a former ally and boss who could become a political foe who could undermine already under-pressure Coalition votes.
