One child killed and another in critical condition after tree falls in Essex park | UK news

A young girl died and after falling into a coastal park in Essex on Saturday, a tree is in a critical situation.
The girls of seven and six were subjected to serious injuries and were taken to hospital. The police said the seven -year -old girl died in the hospital.
The other three children were subjected to slight injuries after the Southend-On-Sea incident.
Essex police said that they were called to Chalkwell Park shortly after 15:00 and found a series of losses here.
Ch Supt Leighton Hammett said: “Families face this night with an unimaginable difficulty and all our thoughts are with them now.
“I cannot put into words how difficult today’s events are and continue to be.
“Also, how traumatic it should be for the people who witnessed this terrible event does not lose me.”
British Eastern Ambulance Service spokesman said: “Two children were transferred to Southend University Hospital by Road.
“Then three children moved to the same hospital with smaller injuries.”
The police advised the public to avoid the region.
