Reputed Mexican Mafia figure accused in cartel case strikes plea deal

Jose Landa-Rodriguez was a public hostile to the public number 1 to hear what prosecutors said.
Landa-Rodriguez, a well-known Mexican mafia member named “Fox ,, was accused of three cases between 2011 and 2018. The allegations included a murder plan that controls rackets in Los Angeles district prisons and continued an alliance between the US prison gang and a drug cartel from a state of Michoacán.
60-year-old Landa-Rodriguez was acquitted in a federal case. However, after being sentenced to seven years of imprisonment in state charges, he made a defense agreement that he had returned to Mexico after he was sentenced to seven more years.
Lawyer Nicholas Rosenberg said that on Thursday, Landa-Rotriguez had no competition to make criminal threats at the Los Angeles County Supreme Court and sentenced to service.
La County prosecutors were imprisoned in a federal prison because Landa-Rodriguez was reorganized illegally in the country, and confirmed the killing of an opponent.
According to the hearing statement, Landa-Rodriguez, California prison gardens, another well-known Mexican Mafia member Arthur, who will collect money from drug sales, was locked in a power struggle with Estrada Estrada.
Prosecutors claimed that Landa-Rodriguez used a language coded in an e-mail to order hits in an estrace. According to the prosecutors, he wrote, “Don’t let it enter our backyard,” he wrote.
Federal officials claimed that Landa-Rodriguez had put their eyes on a much more lucrative racket than prison drug agreements. In 2013, Western Mexico was accused of establishing a methamphetamine pipeline with a cartel from his own state in La Familia Michoacana.
According to the phone calls, La Familia’s leaders were afraid of extradition and asked the Mexican mafia to protect them if they entered US prisons. In return, he promised a bottomless cheap medicine source that the Cartel Mexican mafia could sell on the American streets.
When Landa-Rodriguez heard another Mexican mafia member Ralph “Perico” Rocha negotiations, he was discussing the agreement with a cartel representative during his registered prison calls. Rocha confronted with the charges of extortion and secretly made a deal for a reduced sentence. He organized meetings in an incorrect office building that allows federal agents to record every word and added to the meetings.
Landa-Rodriguez suspected of working for the authorities, told the cartel to stay away from Rocha. They were all accused anyway.
The lawsuit against Landa-Rodriguez and the four other Mexican mafia members turned out to have secretly recorded government operators. In 2019, Landa-Rodriguez was acquitted of all the charges.
However, the decision did not mean that Landa-Rodriguez was out of prison.
In 2013, prosecutors took control of Landa-Rodriguez’s Los Angeles district prison system in a second federal indictment. According to the prosecutors, Mexico has supervised the lucrative plans used to get money from 6,000 Latin prisoners, which make up more than half of the male prisoner population of the district.
It is claimed that Landa-Rodriguez has received one-third of all drug sales in prisons and directs prosecutors’ investigations to call the Dirt Dirty Thirds Operation ”. He was also accused of earning a usurpic racket called “Kitty ..
Landa-Rodriguez’s former right-hand man, Luis “Hefty” Garcia said that in 2022, every Latin prisoners should be present in food, clothing or hygiene material worth $ 1.50 for every $ 7 spent in the commissioner. “Kitty” was then re -sold and creates a secondary market that is cheaper than the commissioner in prisons.
“It may sound like a small amount, Gar Garcia said,“ But a large amount of money in the big picture. ”
Every week, Garcia said that she collected about $ 3,200 from the prison complex in Castaic, known as $ 1,500 to $ 2,500 from “Kitty” sales in men’s central prison, $ 1,000 from twin towers and Wayside. This month is added to about $ 23,000.
After filed a seven-year lawsuit, he was found guilty of the tribute in March after the trial of a defendant-Avon-Nether-Rhodriguez’s former lawyer-Nonsoricuez.
In the claim agreement, he admitted that the Mexican Mafia began to tamper with murder, kidnapping, extortion, robbery and witnesses to çek encourage the climate of fear ”. He also agreed to put an anonymous opponent to the “Green Light List olan, which is the Hit List of Mexico in 2015.
In a penalty note, lawyer Vitaly Sigal said his client has been imprisoned since 1998. When Landa-Rodriguez was last free, Sigal said, “Bill Clinton was a relatively new concept that should be accessed through the United States President, the Internet and Dial-up modem. [and] The most revenue in the world was Titanic. ”
Sigal said he plans to return to Michoacán after serving and agreed to be deported.
Landa-Rodriguez’s once negotiated by the Cartel was now re-branded as La Nueva Familia Michoacana.
In August, Mexican officials delivered Senvando Gómez Martinez, a La Familia leader called “La Tuta, to face drug trafficking in New York.
However, according to his lawyer, Landa-Rodriguez has nothing to do with prison politics or transnational criminal alliances. Sigal dreamed of going back to his family’s farm, where he lived before joining a South La gang or recognizing a prison cell before he came to the United States at the age of 15.
Today, Sigal wrote, “Power, status or conflict,” he wrote. “Only the silent dignity of aging in the company of their loved ones.”
