Thousands without power as winter weather moves through West Michigan
GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — Amid strong winds and piling snow, many people are left without power.
According to a Consumers Energy outage mapStatewide, 18,820 customers are without power. As of 21.35 on Wednesday, there are significant outages in the following districts:

Consumers Energy crews are working around the clock to repair sporadic power outages in West Michigan. A. high wind warning It is in effect for winds as high as 60 mph from 7 a.m. Wednesday to 7 a.m. Thursday in Mason, Oceana, Muskegon, Ottawa, Allegan and Van Buren counties. Winds in South Haven were clocked at 53 mph before noon Wednesday. By late afternoon, wind gusts of 56 mph were recorded in the same area.
