Netanyahu accuses Mamdani of ‘fomenting hate,’ says rhetoric is making New York Jews afraid
Prime Minister of Israel Benjamin Netanyahu He accused New York Mayor Zohran Mamdani of “inciting hatred” and argued Sunday that the democratic socialist’s anti-Israel rhetoric is dividing New Yorkers and making the city’s Jewish community feel unsafe.
Netanyahu said: “Look what he’s doing. He’s inciting hatred. He’s supposed to be the mayor of all New Yorkers, Jews, Christians, Muslims, everyone, but he’s trying to turn one group against another.”Sunday Morning Futures” Hosted by Maria Bartiromo.
Netanyahu said American Jews in New York told him their fears were growing.

“They’re scared now, and from now on I don’t think it’s accidental. [Mamdani] “He made this hate speech against Israel and against me, the next day a Jew was stabbed while leaving the synagogue,” he said.
The Israeli leader was talking about last week’s incident Stabbing outside Manhattan synagogueAuthorities allege Raul Morales, 51, stabbed a Jewish man in the chest with a screwdriver while shouting “Allahu Akbar.”
Reports also claim Morales said the same sentence in a separate incident in which he stabbed a 57-year-old Asian man.

The video of New York Mayor Zohran Mamdani admitting that he did not have the legal authority to arrest Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu did little to ease the concerns of Jewish leaders.
Netanyahu criticized Mamdani’s rhetoric and said, “I think this is a shame. This situation is very bad for New York. I think it is very bad for peace.”
Netanyahu appears to be referring to Mamdani’s remarks last week; Mamdani acknowledged that New York City authorities did not have the legal authority to arrest Netanyahu. Pursuant to the order of the International Criminal Court (ICC)but urged federal officials to do so.
During the speech, Mamdani called Netanyahu a “war criminal” and “architect of the terrible genocide against the Palestinian people.”
Despite Mamdani’s repeated insistence that the Israeli leader is not welcome in New York, Netanyahu said he still plans to travel to the city for the United Nations General Assembly, which begins in September, where he promises to “tell the truth” and defend Israel and its ties with the United States from the podium.
“I’m not worried [about Mamdani]” said Netanyahu.

“I’ve shown up almost every year of my premiership unless there are security conditions, but other than that — and I don’t expect that to be the case this time — yes, I’m considering coming to New York,” he said.
The New York mayor’s office did not immediately respond to Fox News Digital’s request for comment.
