New Prince Harry book a ‘deranged conspiracy’

A new biography of the Duke of Sussex, which claims he was brainwashed by Queen Camilla’s wife Meghan, has been described as a “deranged conspiracy” by his spokesman.
Harry and Meghan have been estranged from the British royal family since stepping away from official duties and moving to California in 2020, but they continue to attract a lot of attention both in the UK and abroad.
Author Tom Bower, who has written numerous biographies about the royal family, said in extracts from his new book published in the Times newspaper that the couple began fighting with other royals shortly after their glittering wedding in 2018.
The couple are not on good terms with other royals and Harry has rarely seen his father, King Charles, in recent years.
Bower wrote that the Prince and Princess of Wales were concerned about Meghan’s influence over him and saw her as a threat.
“Meghan has brainwashed Harry,” Camilla told a friend, according to the author.
According to the quotes, Harry was also shocked by his fall from grace with his uncle Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, who lost all his titles and was kicked out of his home over his links to late US sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, and feared his brother would also effectively exile him.
In an unusually strong response, a spokesman for Harry and Meghan said Bower’s comment “crossed the line from criticism to obsession.”
“Those interested in facts will look elsewhere; those looking for deranged conspiracy and melodrama know exactly where to find it,” the spokesman said on Saturday.
Buckingham Palace declined to comment on behalf of King Charles and Queen Camilla.
There has been no immediate comment from Prince William and his wife Kate’s representatives.
