Donald Trump slams 2026 Grammys, calls host Trevor Noah ‘total loser’

During Sunday night’s Grammy awards, host Trevor Noah lashed out at Trump and his one-time friendship with Jeffrey Epstein.
POTUS said on social media network Truth Social: “The Grammy Awards are THE WORST, almost unwatchable! CBS is lucky this garbage no longer pollutes their broadcasts. Host Trevor Noah, whoever he is, is almost as bad as Jimmy Kimmel at the Low-Rating Academy Awards.”
After Billie Eilish won the Grammy for ‘Song of the Year’, Noah took a moment to joke about Trump.
“That’s song of the year! Congratulations Billie Eilish. Wow. This is the Grammy every artist wants, almost as much as Trump wants Greenland. Which makes sense because since Epstein left, he needs a new candidate to hang out with Bill Clinton. I told you, this is my last year! What are you going to do about it?”, Variety referred to Noah’s remarks at the awards ceremony.
Trump took to the Truth Social platform to hit back: “Noah FALSEly said about me that Donald Trump and Bill Clinton spent time on Epstein Island. FALSE!!! I can’t speak for Bill, but I have never been to Epstein Island or anywhere near it and until tonight’s false and defamatory statement I have never been accused of being there, not even by the Fake News Media.”
Describing the anchor as a “total loser”, the US President wrote: “Noah is such a loser, he better get the facts straight and fix it ASAP. Looks like I’m going to send my lawyers to sue this poor, pathetic, talentless, idiot MC and sue him for plenty of dollars. Ask little George Slopadopolus and others how this all works. Also ask CBS! Get ready Noah, I’m going to have some fun with you! President DJT”Noah is also on current events and the news cycle He also joked about it. Bruno Mars and Rose’s hit song APT. When describing the Korean drinking game associated with , he compared it to life in the United States. Speaking about the play, he told the audience: “In America, you drink every time you turn on the news.”
He then looked at how things have changed since the late 1990s. Noah compared headlines past and present when talking about Lauryn Hill returning to the Grammy stage for the first time in years: “In 1999, the president had a sex scandal, people thought computers were about to destroy the world, and Diddy got arrested — boy, how times have changed,” Noah said.
Noah also joked about the number of famous faces in the audience. While naming stars like Jamie Foxx, Pharrell and Doechii, he compared the room to a billionaires’ wedding. “There are so many stars in this room,” she told the crowd, “I feel like I’m at Jeff Bezos’ wedding, but there are so many more Black people, you know what I mean?”
This year marks Noah’s last time hosting the Grammys. He first took on the role while hosting The Daily Show and continued even after leaving the show in 2022. He also serves as executive producer for this year’s ceremony.
