New WA refinery just another dumb idea dressed up as sovereignty

Watch out, taxpayers, some spies are about to raid the state’s coffers with the approval of the government and the media.
The federal and WA Labor governments, two arms of the fossil fuel industry, have announced a $4 million “pre-feasibility study” for a potential new refinery in Western Australia. The idea was put forward by a company called Perdaman, which bills itself as a “visionary, family-owned, multinational enterprise”. Perdaman does not currently own or operate any refineries but generates revenue of A$6.45
