New York Plans New Nuclear Plant as Energy Demand Surges

(Bloomberg) – New York Province has been trying to build a nuclear power plant to meet the increasing clean energy demand, which has been the first major US reactor project for more than a decade.

Governor Kathy Hochul leads the New York Power Authority to develop and build at least 1 Gigawatt nuclear capacity enough to give power to a million houses.
