Adam Peaty’s Strictly Come Dancing co-star shares first glimpse inside ‘unforgettable’ wedding to Holly Ramsay at Bath Abbey

Adam Peaty’s Strictly Come Dancing co-star Dan Walker has shared the first images of Holly Ramsay’s ‘unforgettable’ wedding.
Olympic swimmer Adam married Gordon Ramsay’s daughter Holly, who looked stunning in a lace dress, at Bath Abbey on Saturday.
TV presenter Dan, 48, who is now competing on Strictly with Adam in 2021, shared a photo of the couple’s service setup on Instagram and gushed over the ‘amazing’ day.
She wrote: ‘We had such a great time celebrating with @adam_peaty and @hollyramsayy yesterday.
‘A great wedding, the best people, great service, unforgettable reception, great speeches and we got to sing some songs in church too’.
Holly Ramsay walked into her wedding at Bath Abbey on the arm of her celebrity chef father, but kept her lace dress hidden under a billowing hooded ivory cape.

Olympic swimmer Adam married Gordon Ramsay’s daughter Holly, who looked stunning in a lace dress, at Bath Abbey on Saturday.
If the influencer looked nervous as she made her way through a chaotic crowd of onlookers before heading down the aisle to exchange vows with Adam, she had good reason.
Because behind the couple’s lavish wedding lay an ugly family drama that resulted in the groom’s mother and nearly every member of her family being excluded from the dazzling ceremony due to allegations of snobbery and classism.
Adam’s heartbroken mother Caroline, sitting 130 miles away at home in Staffordshire, was said to be ‘lost’ at having missed one of the happiest days of her life.
Speaking at the council house where Adam grew up, the 59-year-old told The Mail on Sunday: ‘I won’t get hurt like that again.
She told yesterday’s Daily Mail that she felt like Holly and Adam had ‘ripped my heart out’.
This newspaper can also reveal that Adam Peaty was sent a devastating text message from his aunt Louise, who was also not invited to the wedding, moments before she entered the abbey holding the hand of her five-year-old son George.
In it he wrote: ‘I hope you never experience the deep pain you caused your mother and that despite everything, she still loves you. Shame on you both. Shame.
‘This is your happiest day, and on every anniversary of your happiest day, remember that you hurt your mother so deeply that her soul screams.’

The roots of this terrible family conflict date back to September 2024, when Adam and Holly snubbed extended members of the Peaty family by not inviting them to their engagement party.
Caroline, who for years took her son to early morning training sessions, was not invited to Holly’s lavish hen party at Soho Farmhouse in the Cotswolds last month, despite the bride’s mother Tana Ramsay and her friends, including Victoria Beckham, being at the extravagant bash.
Despite everything, Caroline sent her newlywed son a card and a gift for his 31st birthday today.
Meanwhile, Adam’s great-aunt Janet, 73, who was left out of yesterday’s wedding, told The Mail on Sunday: ‘I feel so sorry for Caroline.
‘I can’t believe he did this to his mother, who has done so much for him from a young age. ‘It’s not kind to be treated this way.’
Despite being ostracized, a distraught Caroline had threatened to come to the wedding anyway, and if she was banned from the convent she would stand outside and watch from the street.
Yesterday she said she changed her mind after husband Mark convinced her it would be ‘very sad’.
If he had defied his son’s ban, he would have found himself face to face with five security guards waiting outside the monastery’s ancient and elaborately carved wooden gates, framed by decorative columns of white roses and hydrangeas.
The Ramsay family spent thousands of dollars on the venue, where weddings normally cost around £2,500, and were block-booked on a daily basis to ensure the service took place in absolute secrecy.
Gordon Ramsay, who gained fame and fortune for his foul-mouthed antics in the kitchen, was on his best behavior as he helped his 25-year-old daughter into a black Rolls-Royce pulled up outside the Gothic abbey at around 12.30pm.
He was seen whispering into an officer’s ear before kissing her cheek as she straightened her crumpled outfit.
Shaken by an icy wind, the duo was attacked by well-wishers who shouted “Merry Christmas” as they passed by.
Inside, there was a congregation full of celebrities, including Sir David and Victoria Beckham, who were no strangers to family squabbles, waiting to see the bride for the first time.
Adam’s mother Caroline (pictured), who took her son to early morning training sessions for years, was not invited to the couple’s wedding or Holly’s lavish hen do last month.
Their sons Romeo and Cruz, close friends of the Ramsay family, and their daughter Harper were also there, but Brooklyn’s son was not.
Masterchef: The Professionals’ Marcus Wareing and his wife Jane were also there.
The ceremony that followed was ‘beautiful and very emotional’, one guest later told The Mail on Sunday.
Like Adam, a devout Christian, Holly was determined to exchange vows at a religious ceremony. Peaty’s son George from a previous relationship was said to play a pivotal role in the ceremony.
The three bridesmaids were Holly’s older sister Megan, 27, her younger sister Tilly, 24, and Adam’s sister Bethany, who was the only member of her family invited to both the event and the hen party.
Other relatives said Bethany was included as one of the bride’s escorts because she ‘fitted in’ to the Ramsays’ glitzy world.
Seen by some as a defiance against her family, Bethany linked arms with Holly’s eldest sister as she entered the convent carrying white arum lilies.
The bridesmaids wore red flowing dresses designed by Victoria Beckham. The former Spice Girl also wore one of her own dresses, a £1,290 teal number, while the dark green silk dress worn by the bride’s mother, Tana, 51, was also from Lady Beckham’s label. Meanwhile, Peaty combed his hair back and wore the same suit as his new father-in-law.
But there was no information about the designer behind Holly’s romantic floral lace dress, which was kept secret until she arrived inside the impressive abbey, away from prying cameras.
Apart from the conspicuous absence of Peaty’s family, the bride and groom were pronounced husband and wife without any drama. The newlyweds left the church at around 1.30pm to the joyous sound of the abbey bells and were whisked away to their reception at Kin House, a Georgian manor house near Chippenham, 17 miles away.
Here, guests were treated to a wedding feast that included shrimp cocktail, beef Wellington and pan-seared halibut followed by tarte tatin. A traditional wedding cake was served at 20:00.
A source said: ‘Holly and Adam were meticulous in their planning and it came together perfectly. ‘They couldn’t wait to share it all with their guests.’
While the ceremony and reception were held in great secrecy, they are likely to feature in the upcoming Netflix docuseries about life in the Ramsay family.
The film, which is expected to be released early next year, may well provide the first real glimpse of Caroline Peaty’s own son’s wedding.
For now, mother and son remain tragically at loggerheads, unable to resolve their differences and mend their formerly close relationship. This is a story in search of a happy ending.
