News GST rates LIVE: GST rate cuts set to kick in today; goods and services to be cheaper
Kitchen staples, from drugs and equipment to cars, electronic prices will become cheaper than Monday, September 22, 2025, because the proportions of reduced goods and service tax (GST) in approximately 375 items enter into force.
For consumers, the GST Council, which consists of centers and states for consumers, decided to reduce tax rates on goods and services as of 22 September, the first day of Navaratri.
Collective consumption products such as Ghee, panel, butter ‘Namkeen’Willing products such as ketchup, jam, dried fruits, coffee and ice creams and TV, AC, washing machines will become cheaper.
