“You are a one-sided, twisted network. I’m sorry. Let’s call it quits because I’ve had enough. Thank you, darling. Have fun,” Trump told “Meet the Press” host Kristen Welker before walking out of the interview that aired Sunday.
The interview, filmed Friday, took place at a farm in Wisconsin where Trump was addressing farmers. A tractor and hay bales served as a backdrop.

The interview was interrupted several times due to weather and audio issues, with heavy rain pounding the roof and making it difficult to continue the conversation.
“Wind or what?” Trump asked at one point.
“Did you hear that sound?” he said later. “That sound of thunder, lightning, rain.”
Welker asked his technical team if they should stop.
The President replied, “No. People will understand; we are on a farm.”
Various questions followed about Iran, nuclear weapons, and campaign promises to keep the United States out of foreign wars.
“First of all, I did not guarantee that there would be no war. Why would I build the most powerful army in the world?” he said, then accused Welker of being “a great liberal, a great progressive.”
“No, I’m just a journalist,” he countered.
Trump continued: “I don’t like these endless wars. This is not an endless war. We’ve been doing this for three months.”
The tone rose again when the discussion turned to the taxpayer-funded program Trump proposed to compensate people he believes were victims of partisan investigations under his predecessor, Joe Biden.
“I don’t know what will happen to the militarization fund,” he said. “I love this idea because people like you, the fake dirty press, the crooked press, people like stupid Biden… they ruined people. They sent people to prison who did nothing wrong.”
“There is no evidence of what you say,” Welker said.
Trump repeated past false claims that the 2020 election was “rigged” and said last week’s primary elections in California were also fraudulent.
Welker kept his word and asked the president to provide evidence.
As Welker tried to engage him, Trump finally retorted before moving out of the camera’s view: “You’re either crooked or stupid.”
Welker told viewers Sunday that he spoke to Trump on Saturday about the weather disruptions and that Trump agreed to give him another interview.
