NGRI Scientist Dr Barnita Banerjee Named Founder Member Of INSA Women Associate

Haydarabad: NGRI scientist Dr Barnita Bannerjee was chosen as the founding member of the Insa assistant (IWA) for 2025. The organization addresses a small number of women in scientific efforts and accepts its contributions in the field of election, mentoring, cooperation and progression of women in science.
The Insa Council launched this new IWA category to encourage further diversity and inclusion.
In 2018, Dr Bannerjee worked on the restructuring of monsoons during the Miocene period, 23 million years to five million years ago, under pain, and completed his work in international magazines. After PHD, he served as an assistant professor at the Rourkela National Technology Institute. In 2021, he joined NGRI as a scientist, where he was working on shaded (lake -related) sediments in India to create Paleocical and tsunami records. In 2024, he was awarded the Women’s Excellence Award.
This Insa Women Assocates Initiative aims to associate the best performance women from various sectors (Academy, Industry, R & D, NGO, NGOs, Entrance, etc.) and facilitates new initiatives. This effort also aims to provide stronger connections and role models for new generation women and thus to reduce the gender gap.
