Nick Haynes backs Michael Voss after Carlton Blues’ 50-point loss to Port Adelaide Power

Haynes did not have it: “You cannot target the coach with our basic and consistency,” he said, after 211 matches this summer, the opening of the GWS giant with a free agency.

Voss accepted the first nine goals and did not eliminate himself or the criminal players after Carlton after passing through the opening leap against the Port.

“This is a collective accountability – there is no distinctive group here,” he said. “First we always look at ourselves (coaches), then give players some things we need, and we want them to play at the standard.

“We’ll look at this well and see what we need to fix.”

When the wolves draw circles, Voss insists that he is still the right man for work.

“When you look at our work, there was a real change in our numbers – and really good … This is no doubt about what we are trying to create here.”
