DMK MP Raja issues legal notice to YouTube channel over audio clip, slams Palaniswami

He also criticized AIADMK general secretary Edappadi K Palaniswami for using the unverified clip to make defamatory statements against late DMK patriarch M Karunanidhi and Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin.
In a strongly worded social media post on Saturday, Raja claimed that the voice was “fabricated” using artificial intelligence technology to misrepresent his speech.
“The audio clip was circulated as if I was speaking. It was cut, pasted and created using artificial intelligence to concoct a false narrative. I have sent a legal notice through my lawyer regarding this,” the Lok Sabha member said.
Raja called Palaniswami’s reliance on records for electoral gains “politically uncivilized and dishonest”.
He attacked the AIADMK chief by quoting poet Bharathiyar’s verses.
In the controversial audio clip that surfaced on social media recently, Raja is alleged to have made derogatory remarks about the DMK leadership and intra-party dynamics. The clips, distributed in two parts, claim that CM Stalin is “unfit” to lead and include sensitive allegations regarding the 2G spectrum scam. Most provocatively, the audio includes allegations that Karunanidhi was mistreated or kept under “house arrest” in his final days; This is an allegation that Palaniswami used when he came to power to demand a fresh investigation into the former CM’s death.
