Nigel Farage has claimed he was told Islamists were meddling in Britain’s politics, education system and police. The leader of Reform UK was speaking at the launch of his party’s Jewish Alliance this afternoon.
He told those attending the meeting that “high-level intelligence sources” had informed him that the Muslim Brotherhood, a transnational Sunni Islamist organization founded in Egypt in 1928 by scholar, imam and teacher Hassan al-Banna, was “deeply embedded in various structures of our country.”
After he said this, Mr Farage observed “conscious nodding” in the room, according to a recording heard by The Express.
“I’m talking about the education system,” he said.
He added: “I’m talking about politics. I’m talking about the police force.”
The Clacton MP said Britain was in the grip of “widespread and pervasive sectarianism”. “Horrible sectarianism.”

He emphasized that some Arab countries have banned the brotherhood and declared it as a terrorist organization.
“They have been allowed to go very, very deep into the British establishment and once again we are seeing the same lack of courage that we saw with Emily Damari, no one is prepared to stand up and do the right thing.
“So this organization is against sectarianism [the Reform Jewish Alliance] “I’m afraid this is unfortunately very, very necessary.”
The United States moved in December to designate or designate “certain chapters or other subdivisions of the Muslim Brotherhood” as foreign terrorist organizations.
The White House said at the time: “Founded in Egypt in 1928, the Muslim Brotherhood has grown into a transnational network with branches in the Middle East and beyond.
“Relevant here, its affiliates in Lebanon, Jordan, and Egypt are participating in, or facilitating and supporting, campaigns of violence and destabilization that harm their territories, U.S. citizens, and U.S. interests.
“For example, following the attack on Israel on October 7, 2023, the military wing of the Lebanese branch of the Muslim Brotherhood joined Hamas, Hezbollah, and Palestinian groups in launching multiple rocket attacks on both civilian and military targets in Israel.”
The officials added: “A senior leader of the Egyptian branch of the Muslim Brotherhood called for violent attacks on US partners and interests on October 7, 2023, and Jordanian Muslim Brotherhood leaders have long provided material support to the militant wing of Hamas.
“Such activities threaten the security of American civilians in the Levant and other parts of the Middle East as well as the security and stability of our regional partners.”
In December, Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer told the Jewish News that the government was keeping the Muslim Brotherhood under “very close scrutiny”.
