US Open 2025: Jack Draper withdraws before second-round match with arm injury

Draper, before the tournament on the left service arm, a rotten hummerus – the bone extending from shoulder to elbow – despite the fight, “ready to go,” he said.

It has not played in New York since its second round defeat in Wimbledon in early July and withdrew from key tournaments in Canada and Cincinnati to heal.

Draper worked in New York on Wednesday morning, but announced later that he could not continue the tournament.

From the run to the last four, the ranking points will fall after the tournament, which may affect the proposal to qualify for ATP tour finals at the end of the year.
