Asia-Pacific markets will open mostly higher on Monday as investors await economic data from China.
Analysts surveyed by Reuters expect the Chinese economy to slow down in the third quarter and estimate that gross domestic product will grow 4.8% in the July-September period, down 5.2% from the previous quarter.
of japan Nikkei 225 Futures pointed to a stronger open with the futures contract in Chicago at 48,605 and the futures contract in Osaka at 48,290 compared to the previous close of 47,582.15.

Australia’s S&P/ASX 200 started the day with a 0.1% loss.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose on Friday as traders digested the U.S.’s easing tone in trade talks with China and tried to overcome credit concerns that led to massive sell-offs in U.S. regional banks on Thursday.
The Dow index rose 238.37 points, or 0.52%, to finish at 46,190.61 points. The S&P 500 index closed at 6,664.01 points with an increase of 0.53%, and the Nasdaq Composite index closed at 22,679.98 points with an increase of 0.52%.
