The Andhra Pradesh government has allotted 20 acres of land in Visakhapatnam to Infosys for the development of a large-scale IT campus with a proposed seating capacity of 7,000 professionals.

Infosys has seen steady growth in the city over the last two years, increasing its workforce from around 250 employees to around 1,900 by early 2024. The company, which started its Visakhapatnam operations from a rented facility in Rushikonda IT area in October 2023, also plans to add 750 seats in the near term. Going forward, Infosys has laid out plans to set up a permanent campus in the allocated 20 acres, reinforcing Visakhapatnam’s long-term commitment as a strategic technology hub.
