Pakistan Exposed: ‘Asim Munir Engineered The Pahalgam Attack For Personal Gains’, Admits Imran Khan’s Aide | World News

Pahalgam Terror Attack: Revealing Pakistan’s long denial of any role in the deadly Pahalgam terror attack, an American-Pakistani political activist has admitted that Army Chief Asim Munir deliberately engineered the April 22 attack that killed 26 innocent civilians in Baisaran grassland in Jammu and Kashmir.

He claimed that the attack was designed to trigger a military conflict with India and elevate Munir’s position within Pakistan’s power structure.

According to Salman Ahmad, a close associate of former Prime Minister Imran Khan, the motive behind fueling the conflict was personal rather than political. He claimed that Munir wanted to use a cross-border conflict to expand his influence and polish his public image at a time when criticism of his leadership was increasing in Pakistan.

Speaking to CNN-News18, Trump referenced a recent letter signed by 42 US lawmakers urging the Trump administration to investigate alleged human rights violations linked to Munir.

“We have been warning the USA for years. Since the dismissal of Imran Khan in April 2022, the Pakistani army has been crushing the democratic space. And above all, Munir has become a threat to regional security,” he said.

‘Munir is a Great Threat’

Salman also said, “Pakistan is a nuclear-armed country. Military dictatorship is dangerous in such a state. Asim Munir is a mentally unstable officer. He should not be allowed even near the armed forces,” and added that the decisions of the Chief of General Staff endangered not only Pakistan’s democracy but “the entire region”.

He also claimed that people associated with him were kidnapped and tortured in Pakistan. He said these incidents have increased significantly.

Salman said, “You must understand that Munir thinks that his destiny is to be the king of Pakistan. He has not allowed anyone to meet Imran Khan for the last seven weeks. His cruelty is clearly evident.”

Describing the political climate inside Pakistan, he claimed that the manipulation seen during the elections and the manner in which Imran Khan was sidelined created deep resentment across the country. He argued that Munir was now desperately trying to assert his authority.

Salman reiterated that “this is why Munir planned the Pahalgam incident” and added, “He wanted India to retaliate. When the conflict escalates, he can use the chaos to present himself as a wartime leader and rise to the rank of field marshal.”

He drew attention to what happened after India’s retaliatory Operation Sindoor following the Pahalgam attack. “The clashes between the two countries lasted for four days. This shows that Munir is willing to resort to any means to secure his personal interests. This reveals his pattern of behavior,” he said.

Salman’s allegations add a new chapter to the ongoing political crisis in Pakistan, where accusations against the military leadership continue to intensify.
