Nirmala Sitharaman, L Murgan Visit Injured

Karur: On Monday, Union Minister Nirmala Sithaman reached the place where 41 people lost their lives in Karur in Karur in Tamil Nadu. TVK President Vijay called the “irreparable” loss, he stood with the old families and said that he confirmed RS 20 Lakh compensation for each family of those who died and RS 2 Lakh for the wounded. “No word can relieve this pain, but I’m sharing your grief,” he said.

Prime Minister MK Stalin, opposition leader EdaAppadi K. Palaniswami and union leaders, including political leaders on party lines expressed grief and called for strict measures to prevent recurrence.

The judiciary has ordered an investigation and appointed a new senior officer in order to provide accountability in the future and to prevent such tragedies.” In addition, RS 10 for each family of the deceased and RS 1 for each person receiving treatment announced the compensation of RS 1.

Opposition leader Edappadi K. Palaniswami (EPS) accused the government of not being able to predict. “Although Vijay knew that the rally would attract thousands of people, there was inadequate crowded management and security. The government should take responsibility for these preventive deaths.” He said.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi also announced that each of the families of the dead will receive two lakh rupees from the Prime Minister National Assistance Fund. PM Modi also announced 50,000 RS for people who were injured in the tragic incident.

TN Deputy Prime Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin and other ministers visited the Karur Government Medical College Hospital on Sunday to supervise the treatment of the injured and examination procedures. Parties such as VCK, TMC and DMDK have also emerged for the increasing compensation of victims’ families.
