Ranveer Singh film finally sees massive drop, still collects double than Avatar 3, earns Rs…

On the third Monday, Dhurandhar registered its first major decline of nearly 60 percent and collected Rs 16.50 Million from Rs 40.30 Million on the third Sunday. On the other hand, Avatar: Fire and Ash fell more than 65% and earned just 8.50 billion rupees on its first Monday.

Dhurandhar box office collection 18th day

Dhurandhar, led by Ranveer Singh and directed by Aditya Dhar, continues to dominate at the box office and is setting new benchmarks day by day. The spy thriller, featuring an ensemble cast comprising Akshaye Khanna, Arjun Rampal, Sanjay Dutt and R. Madhavan, has also taken over social media, sparking viral reels, memes, discussions and fan theories, building on its blockbuster momentum since its release on December 5.

Dhurandhar netted an impressive Rs 579.20 crore at the Indian box office and Rs 870.36 crore worldwide in its first 17 days. On the 18th day, Ranveer Singh’s starrer registered its first major decline of nearly 60 per cent and collected Rs 16.50 Crore from Rs 40.30 Crore on the third Sunday, according to initial estimates of tracking portal Sacnilk. Still, Day 18 numbers are still significant, considering the film is in its third week and collections came on Monday.

In comparison, Avatar: Fire and Ash earned only Rs 8.50 crore on its first Monday. James Cameron’s third film in the American sci-fi franchise, which hit theaters on December 19 to mixed reviews, appears to be struggling amid the ongoing Dhurandhar wave. While Avatar: Fire and Ash grossed Rs 75 crore net in India in its first four days, the spy thriller directed by Aditya Dhar continued to lead the box office.

Dhurandhar revolves around Ranveer Singh’s Hamza Ali Mazari, an Indian intelligence asset who infiltrates underworld don Rehman Dakait’s gang in Karachi’s Lyari to eliminate the nexus between gangsters, terrorists, politicians and businessmen in Pakistan. Arjun Rampal plays an ISI officer Major Iqbal, while Akshaye Khanna plays Dakait. Sanjay Dutt plays Pakistani cop SP Chaudhry Aslam and R Madhavan plays Ajay Sanyal, director of Indian intelligence agency IB (Intelligence Bureau).

The Ranveer Singh film will be followed by its sequel Dhurandhar Part 2: Revenge, which is scheduled to release on March 19, 2026, to coincide with Eid-al-Fitr celebrations 2026. There will be a huge box office clash with Yash’s pan-India gangster drama Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups, starring Kiara Advani, Nayanthara, Rukmini Vasanth and Huma Courseshi. Adivi Sesh, Mrunal Thakur and Anurag Kashyap’s action drama Dacoit is also scheduled to release on the same day.
